schedule of events

this schedule is open to correction but gives you an idea of what is going to be happening on the day

clothes swap

ladies and kids are being catered for
don't want it to be all too manly, now do we?

so we've organised a clothes swap, cheap surf lessons and heaps of fun stuff for the kids to do

good times for all the family

guest legend

bob brown has been around the surf scene longer than most in the area
known as "blonde" bobby brown; he shaped from the mid 60's for Gordon & Smith down the south side of Sydney, and was mates with many a legend of the time, including the late bobby brown.

bob has many a great tale to tell and recalls some great moments that help to keep the history and memories alive

we are lucky to have bob along for "the Surf TRIP", with a display of some of his old and current boards.

here's a couple of shots i took last week in his shop, love the range, singles, thruster guns, to classic longboards...gotta get me a longboard sometime soon!!

this is a sweet 1970 shaped Brownie single fin
hard down rails were in the moment, as were greenough style fins

I love seeing where our boards came from and how they have developed...
it really helps me understand what i'm looking for in a board now.
i get heaps of pleasure grabbing a range of boards too suit what the waves and conditions demand..keeps it interesting and fluid

bob's really into stand up paddling these days too, as well as shaping any form of board you can imagine, from classic log's to single fins and twinnies. all made to old school standards, with great glass jobs and classic decals.

images of a board we got brownie to make for a mate's wedding present from his wife
7'0" single fin with a Martin Worthington epic mural spray
he loves it - surfed it in indo straight away!!

check out the wave - feels like it's coming towards you!!

Banksy is the Indo legend, ex pro surfer during the 70's and 80's who is underground largely these days, hard to get a board from him at the best of times.
